Director of Communications
& Scholarship Services
While Lisa only came on board as the Director of Communication and Scholarship Services for the McDonough Scholarship Foundation in late November of 2020, her tangential involvement with the McDonough Foundation began nearly three decades ago when she married McDonough Board Member, John Wolkowski. Lisa possesses strong organizational, computer, and communication skills and has the take-charge attitude necessary to provide a vast array of support services to the Foundation’s Board of Directors, as well as for the McDonough scholars.
In addition to her work for McDonough, she practices as a licensed cosmetologist with an active clientele and is also a registered yoga instructor. At the age of 49, she decided it was time to embark on the first sport of her life, and began playing GOLF. She joined Derryfield Country Club in the Spring of 2015. While it is debatable as to whether her game has improved all that much since then, she truly enjoys the game and her time spent on the course immensely. Lisa and her husband John share their home in Bedford with their two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Bandit and Hero.
