McDonough Scholarship Application 2024-25
APPLY
The 2024-25 Application will be available until May 15, 2024.
This is an unprecedented year, given the difficulties associated with the new FAFSA rollout. We are working to make the process a bit less stressful for our applicants who may not yet have all their financial information available.
This year’s application will consist of a two-part process.
Part 1 of the application is available by clicking the links above or below.
Part 1 asks all general questions which do not pertain to financial information, including: applicant and parent contact information, club/course affiliation, school attending, interests, activities, hobbies, community service, employment history, etc.
NOTHING IN PART 1 REQUIRES APPLICANT TO PROVIDE ANY FINANCIAL INFORMATION.
Part 1 of this year’s applications and all associated supporting documentation MUST be received by 11:59 EDT on May 15, 2024 to be considered for a 2024-25 scholarship award.
The link to Part 2 will be sent by email to applicants upon their successful completion of Part 1. This portion of the application contains questions regarding school expenses, parental income, and all anticipated sources for paying these expenses, such as family contributions, grants, scholarships, financial aid from schools, 529’s. Applicants will be required to provide their finalized FAFSA Report as part of this submission.
Part 2 of this year’s applications and all associated supporting documentation MUST be received by 11:59 EDT on JUNE 15, 2024 to be considered for a 2024-25 scholarship award.
PLEASE NOTE: The June 15 date is a courtesy extension for those who have experienced delays receiving their FAFSA and financial aid information. It is expected that our applicants will be considerate of the time constraints and work required in the scholarship determination process and complete Part 2 of their application as soon as they have their financial information available, rather than waiting until the last possible moment to do so.
No exceptions will be made to either deadline.
The earlier a candidate applies in 2024, the better! One does not need to wait for their spring grades to apply. A Fall, 2023 transcript is acceptable.
Our plan is to distribute scholarship money in early August, as usual.
